Times and occasions and provocations will teach their own lessons. But with or without right, a revolution will be the very last resource of the thinking and the good.

--UpdatedOnce upon a time, a fan of the Pokemon anime had a sudden craving to read romantic fanfiction about "Professor Oak and Ash's Mom." Given the Pokemon fandom's fixation on pointing out relationships between the various characters, she figured that she could find at least ONE fic about these two. She set out on a web surfing journey to find that ONE fic.
To her chagrin, she was unable to find a fic that fit her criteria. No fic had the Professor and Mrs. Ketchum as the primary couple. Many fics did agree that the two were together doing something, but the fics abandoned a serious plot about them in favor of a romance about Ash and the gang. In addition, the characterizations of the Professor and Ash's Mom in these fics were... well, to be frank, sometimes they were the stupidest people on earth, and sometimes they were just wild whores.
Such a harsh treatment seemed unfair to the fan. Didn't anyone else see that a relationship between Samuel and Delia was no different from a relationship between Ash and Misty, or Jesse and James? Didn't anyone else see these characters as just regular people--not buffoons, not whores, just an ordinary old intellectual and a sweet single mother?
As she read more, sought more, talked more, the fan discovered small pockets of people, called Eldershippers, who openly agreed with her. Many more announced the problems with Eldershipping. Sure, Samuel and Delia might be in love, but it was just wrong on several levels. He's too old for her; she's got "Mr. Ketchum" and therefore doesn't need him; the rivalry between Gary and Ash would prevent the relationship anyway. The fan got into intense debates and near flame wars about this, much to her irritation.
Finally, the fan took it upon herself to start what she called "the Revolution." She sought to change the way Eldershipping was viewed. At first, she wished to provide the holistic Eldershipping experience; over time that became a chore. She found, however, that the Eldershipping fandom was extremely talented and wonderful. So she decided to try another tactic. Using fanfiction, she and her Brigadeers aimed to show that Samuel and Delia could be main characters and lovers, could be angst-ridden and tortured, could be sweet and sassy cuties.
The movement became larger than she had ever dreamed, expanding to include a whole host of authors, artists, and readers. Soon the fan decided to put together an archive containing the fanworks that extolled the virtues and joys of Eldershipping to this newfound crowd.
Her Majesty: An attempt to piece together everything we know about Hanako/ Mrs. Delia Ketchum into one happy biography. Damn near finished
His Majesty: An attempt to piece together everything we know about Ookido-hakase Yukinari/ Professor Samuel Oak into one happy biography. Damn near finished
The Portrait Gallery: In which we hold portraits previously unknown to the 'Net of our favorite twosome, both separately and together. Offline for rearrangement: coming within the next day or two
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: My attempt to make a "State of the Fandom" address: what we call it, why we like it, if it does/ will happen, and why it will or won't.
Enemy Forces: The other shippings that provide fodder for tensions within the fandom. You never know whom they might actually love, after all. Damn near finished
Love and War: The home of dramatic Eldershipping fanfiction, be they one-shots or epics.
The Queen's Jester: Where Eldershipping humor resides. It's funny, funny stuff...
The Rapture of Your Love: The repository for Eldershipping poetry. We've got quite a lot of it, surprisingly.
Painted Wings: The home of all Eldershippy/ character-related fanart. We love to see what we've imagined.
Old Spice: Because we like it when our heroes are really, really naughty. They're consenting adults, though, so it's okay. (And you should be a consenting adult to come in this part, anyway.)
Fellow Brigadeers' Corner: Containing a little bit of information on the talented tenth of authors here--the great collection of human beings known as the Eldershipping Brigade.
Captain's Log: Also known as the updates page, in which I tell you what's been added and provide general musings on the state of life and the page.
The Revolution's Allies: Links to sites friendly to the Revolution's cause.
Covert Intelligence: Containing the various ways one can get in contact with me regarding the page or submissions.

Pokemon belongs to a number of people who have a lot of money and power, both here in America and abroad. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. Please, big nasty companies, do not sue me or my Brigadeers for taking liberties with your characters and concepts! We know they're yours--we're just using them to play.
All fanfiction/ fanart is the property of its respective author. Don't take it from them unless you ask, or the Pallet Inquisition will come and kill you.
Glorious Revolution is best viewed with IE 4.0+ and Microsoft Word 2000+. All other platforms welcome... but if you don't have Word 2000, you can't see the lovely Lucida Handwriting that's the signature font of this page. ^_^;;;;
Naturally, this webpage would be nothing without the support of a great deal of people, so many that I can't name them all. You know who you are though--I'm sure you're sitting there, looking at this webpage! Thanks and blessings to you.
